Checking for burned liquidity on ICPSWAP

In a world of rugs it’s important to be able to check for burned liquidity. At this time there is no way to “lock” liquidity in the ICP ecosystem – but this may change in the future. As new projects make their way into the ICP ecosystem it is important to check if they actually burned liquidity. But how do you actually check for burned LP tokens? Let’s take a look:

This is within the icpswap app, you want to click the INFO page:

This opens up the following page:

Here you want to select SWAP leading us to:

Here we want to select SWAP SCAN on the right. (blue button)

We now find ourselves in Swap Scan by ICPSWAP

It automatically selects transactions, but we want to select POSITIONS as they actually cover liquidity pools.

When we select a pool from the list here, we see all active liquidity positions for that coin.

Now it is important to note the burn canister for tokens is aaaaa-aa so when we select $CLOWN for example we can enter aaaaa-aa on the right side to check for burned LP:

So this coin HAS burned LP tokens. It is important to note how much is actually burned – you still need to do your own research.

A shortcut is: go to https://info.icpswap.com/swap-scan/positions and select the pair you want to check while entering aaaaa-aa on the right side.
